Therapy, often called counseling or psychotherapy, is the process of meeting with a therapist to resolve personal problems, feelings, relationship issues, or beliefs. Receiving therapy is often the right step towards becoming a healthier version of yourself and living the best life possible-no matter what challenges you may be facing. Through therapy, you can improve self-destructive behaviors and habits, resolve painful feelings, improve relationships and more.
How long are sessions?
Our first session will be from 60-90 minutes in which an intake appointment allows us the time needed to develop goals for our future sessions. We will spend more sessions together working together to reach attainable goals based off of the initial intake appointment. Session are 50 minutes long with brief and extended sessions available as needed.
Do I take insurance? Yes, I do participate with insurance carriers. Additionally, I work with private pay clients. Payments including co-pays are due at time of service in the form of check or cash. If you wish to pay with credit card, that is also an option I accept.
Do I have a sliding scale? Yes, I do offer a sliding scale.
How often do we meet? Therapy can be a short or long-term process, on average most clients are seen once a week with adjustments made on an as needed basis.
Do I prescribe medicine? I do not prescribe medicine. If however, there is need for a Physician or Psychiatrist referrals are offered.
How confidential is therapy? Everything you say in session is kept confidential. Confidentiality is only broken if there is suspected harm to others or self.
